A belt's size is measured with a tape measure from the end of the belt buckle to the center hole, given in centimeters. If a belt has an even number of holes, measure it to the hole that corresponds to half the total number of holes. For a belt with six holes, measure the third hole. As a rule of thumb, a belt should have +15 cm in length from the center hole to the end of the belt, providing additional adjustment if the belt becomes too small. An ideally sized belt should fasten in the center hole. If the manufacturer uses this standard measurement, the belt's size, e.g., 42, should be marked on the inside of the belt, along with information about its length of 116 cm.
At Boldwear, we measured each of our NOAH and SIMON belts using this method, and the corresponding dimensions are described in the size chart. For SIMON braided belts, which don't have holes, we measured 15 cm from the end, assuming that this is where the center hole and belt clasp should be.
How to measure your circumference and choose a belt?
- Put on the trousers that will be worn with the belt. If the trousers have belt loops, thread the tape measure through all the belt loops.
Note: the measuring tape should fit snugly against the body, not too tight, and check whether it is not twisted in any place.
Note: the reading should be taken in an upright position.
Example: If your circumference is 142 cm, choose size 52 for the NOAH belt or 6XL for the SIMON belt. Fasten the belt on the middle hole.
